Rana Hajirasouli

Rana has ten years’ experience in Ireland and the United Arab Emirates, where she worked for a litigation outsourcing company, a marine conservation research unit and more recently, moved into the downstream oil and gas sector in the UAE to provide regenerative solutions in resource-intensive manufacturing value chains.

Rana has won several international awards, accolades, and recognitions for her sustainability-related research. She holds an LLM and M.Phil in International Law and International Peace and Security from Trinity College and is GRI/GHG/SEA accredited. She is currently pursuing research in Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge, focusing on using air pollution as a feedstock and the role the hydrocarbon industry can play in mitigating climate impacts in the U.A.E.

In her current role as COO at the Cyrus Group, she is passionate about making the business case for circular business practices with a focus on waste-to-value solutions, partnerships, and biomimicry as solutions for climate-positive manufacturing practices. She has also recently founded a climate-tech company in this field.
