Ahmed Al Katheeri is the Senior Vice President for Supply Chain Management at Borouge since October 2018. In his current role, Al Katheeri is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s strategy providing effective supply chain solutions with exceptional service levels.
His passion for people development enabled him to successfully lead overall Borouge’s Supply Chain operations from planning of raw materials, packing to finished goods, warehousing, transporting and shipping products across the global Borouge network.
Al Katheeri joined Borouge in 2004 as a Process Engineer at the Ruwais plant. Developing his talent, he made his way to various technical and managerial positions until 2014 such as Process/ Project Engineer, Borouge 2 Project (FEED) USA and Netherlands, Process/ Project Engineer, Borouge 2 Project (EPC) Milan – Italy, Lead Production Engineer, PE Operation Manager and Global Supply Planning Manager, Supply Chain Management.
In 2014, he was appointed as Vice President for Global Planning in Supply Chain Management. His motivational drive to excellence and service-led strategic planning, further enhanced his ability to handle the S&OP processes that optimise asset utilisation, inventory and material flow and meeting customer demands across the regions.
Al Katheeri holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA in 2003, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Abu Dhabi University in 2011. He is a member of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association’s Supply Chain Committee. Al Katheeri is a UAE national.
