That gave him the power to become one of the active key of the founding members of the Gulf Petrochemical and Chemicals Association (GPCA) and act as the Vice Chairman for six consecutive years since its inception. Hamad also headed the Supply Chain Committee of GPCA.
During his career, he was recognized three times among (most influential persons in the chemicals Sector in Gulf) for the two consecutive years. He was voted as No. 13 in the year 2006 and No. 11 in the year 2007 by ICIS.

Arun has more than 20 years of relevant global industry experience in the Software and IT Services market. Ahmed Al Katheeri is the Senior Vice President for Supply Chain Management at Borouge since October 2018. In his current role, Al Katheeri is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s strategy providing effective supply chain solutions with exceptional service levels.

Mr. Udit Arora is Head of Committees Affairs and of Economic Research (A) at the Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association (GPCA), where he is responsible for the strategy development and execution for the working committees of the Association as well as content development for industry reports and publications. He is a member of various regional and international committees focused on areas such as trade policy, regulatory cooperation and circular economy.
Udit is a strong believer and advocate of environmental sustainability and works closely with the value network to promote best practices, develop policies and regulations through various initiatives linked to establishing a circular economy within the Arabian Gulf and globally.

Ahmed held various positions in Q-Chem, one being the Marketing Manager overseeing the Sales and Marketing and Distribution activities as the of Marlex® High Density Polyethylene and Alpha Plus ® Normal AlPha Olefins produced in Qatar where he also held the position of the Business Services Manager overseeing the Supply Chain Department activities, Material and Contracts Department activities. He also worked in various positions prior to joining Q-Chem in 2011 in Projects Consultancy and Project Management in addition to Government and International relations. Ahmed brings in many years of experience in the Sales and Marketing of Polyethylene and Normal Alpha Olefins in

CURRENT POSITION
Hosam Al-Zamil is Global Supply Chain Vice President at Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Before his current position, he was Business Director responsible for SABICs’ global Ethylene Glycol, Ethanol Amines, and Industrial Gases businesses.
He holds the Chairmanship of a number of projects within SABIC, most of which are in the implementation stages. From 2017 to 2019, he served as Board Director of Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (Yansab), a public company listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange. Since 2020, he is Board Director of the Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed).
WORKING EXPERIENCE AND PREVIOUS POSITIONS
Mr. Al-Zamil is a seasoned petrochemical Industry leader with more than 18 years’ global experience in polymers and chemicals business management, supply chain management, and sales. He joined SABIC in 2002 as an Operations Planner, from where he went on to hold various key global positions. He held various leadership positions, including High Density Polyethylene Business Unit Director, Engineering Thermoplastics Business Director, and Glycols & Industrial Gases Global Business Director.
Over the years, he has gained proficiency in petrochemicals business management. He is a project management expert, with a history of delivering mega projects within deadlines and recognized for his disciplined approach to project planning and execution. He is also a Business Turnaround Champion, having offered game-changing insights for resolving key challenges, helping improve bottom lines, raising the level of excellence, promoting talent development, and building long-term strategies.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Mr. Al-Zamil holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Daniel leads strategy and operations for the TradeLens platform. The Platform is a collaboration between Maersk and IBM to digitize and streamline global trade leveraging modern technologies like blockchain and cloud computing. The platform has over 400 organizations in its network, including importers/exporters, Freight Forwarders, inland providers, banks, insurers, customs, ports and terminals, and shipping lines; and has most recently launched its digital bill of lading solution. Now based in New York, Daniel is originally from New Zealand. Across his six years at Maersk, he has held a variety of commercial positions in New Zealand, Hong Kong, and most recently Denmark. He is a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington, where he received a Masters of Environmental Science
Shahab Al Jassmi is the Commercial Director at DP world UAE Region with responsibility for spearheading the core commercial functions such as – Container Terminal, General Cargo, Trade & Logistics, Customer Care and Business Process Improvement for Jebel Ali.
Prior to joining DP World in 2010, Shahab handled key commercial responsibilities in various companies including Dubai World Central and Dubai Aluminium.
Shahab earned his Bachelor degree with Honor’s in Business Management from the University of Dubai and possesses a postgraduate diploma in real-estate management from the Dubai real-estate institute. In addition to this, he has successfully completed the DP World Leadership Development Program.

Fabio Weiss returned to DHL Global Forwarding as the Head of Airfreight for Middle East and Africa in 2019. He joined DHL in 1999 and held various roles within the airfreight business before leaving in 2012. He spent over seven years with an Asia based Logistics Company where his last held position was country manager of Thailand. Fabio has more than 20 years of experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry. He is a Swiss national and has lived in several countries across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, since leaving Switzerland in 2004.
Sue Donoghue is a seasoned logistics professional, having accumulated more than twenty five years of experience in the industry. She started her career in 2006 as a receptionist for a project forwarder working her way up to a Senior Project Manager, managing multiple projects. She joined the DHL family in 2006, first as Head of Industrial Projects in London and in 2012, became Global Business Process Manager for the organization, taking on the role of Global Head of Operations in 2016. In 2018, she took the opportunity to move to Saudi Arabia where she was Project Director and then in 2020, became Managing Director for DHL Global Forwarding in the Kingdom. Most recently, Sue has taken on the additional responsibility of CEO Arabian Cluster covering Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia for DHL Global Forwarding.
Bassel is a Transport & Logistics professional with over 16 years in the industry and 22 years overall experience. He has worked in several countries in the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. He currently works for CEVA Logistics as Managing Director for the Levant region, in charge of six countries. Bassel focuses on driving growth through the development and delivery of sustainable supply chain solutions for customers across different sectors.
Bassel has an MBA degree from INSEAD France, and a Bachelor of Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut. He is married and father of two daughters.

Aslam Moola joined Vopak in 2017 after an earlier stint with the company in 2004 and 2005. He leads the Middle East organization for Vopak and is responsible for growth in the region. Aslam has spent most of his past 27 years in the petrochemical industry, and has had the opportunity to lead the development of major cracker projects and chemical businesses in the USA, the Middle East and South Africa.
Aslam holds a post graduate Organic Chemistry degree from the University of Durban-Westville. He is proudly a South African national, married with 2 children. Aslam has been living in the UAE since 2001.
Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Sadoun has served as the Secretary General of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) since 2009, following a career of more than three decades in the GCC region’s petrochemical and energy sectors.
His career began in 1990 as a Senior Researcher at SABIC Research and Development Center in Saudi Arabia. He has since held senior executive positions at several prominent regional agencies, including the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), Al-Sharq Plastic Industries Co., and PetroBaas for Industrial Investment Co.
In 2020, he served as the B20 Sherpa, Saudi Arabia responsible for operational management of the B20 Secretariat, content preparation, delivery and advocacy of policy recommendations.
Dr. Al-Sadoun has been a member of the Steering Committee of the International Council of Chemical Associations since 2012. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the Riyadh Economic Forum and the Arabian Society for Human Resources Management.
Dr. Al-Sadoun is the author of two books narrating the evolutionary journey of the chemical industry in the Arabian Gulf region – ‘Molecules, Mind and Matter: How the Arabian Gulf Became a Global Petrochemical Hub’ (published in English language) and ‘A Voyage to Leadership: How the Arabian Gulf Became a Global Petrochemical Hub’ (published in Arabic language).
He holds a PhD in Industrial Chemistry from King’s College, University of London, United Kingdom, and has completed the General Management Program (GMP3) of Harvard Business School (HBS), Harvard University, USA.
Professor Thomas J. Goldsby is the James A. Haslam, II Chair of Logistics at the Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Evansville, M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky, and Ph.D. in Marketing and Logistics from Michigan State University.
Dr. Goldsby is immediate-past Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Business Logistics and former Co-Editor-in-Chief of Transportation Journal. He serves as Co-Faculty Director for the Global Supply Chain Institute at the Haslam College. His research interests include logistics strategy, supply chain integration, and the theory and practice of lean and agile supply chain strategies. He has published more than 90 articles in academic and professional journals, co-authored five books, and serves as a frequent speaker at academic conferences, executive education seminars, and professional meetings.
Mehtab is bachelor in Mechanical Engineering. He is an experienced multi-skilled in Digital Asset, Internet of Things (IoT), Supply chain management, Engineering Information/Data management, Enterprise Asset management and Program Management professional with over 23 years’ experience. He is possessing extensive experience in the oil & gas sectors with a unique blend of process, people and technical skills by working on different projects with companies like Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, Qatar Petroleum and ADNOC group.
He has helped clients in drafting and delivering on their innovation agenda with focus on Cloud, Advanced Analytic, Industry 4.0 and Mobility. He has sound experience of capital projects management in Oil & gas sector and drafting implementable strategies in moving organizations/functions from Document centric to data centric.

Dave serves as a Distinguished Fellow at the Global Supply Chain Institute, Haslam College, University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He also serves as the CEO of Avicon, Inc., a supply chain applied learning and team development practice. He is a co-author of a groundbreaking research effort and white paper called Advancing E2E Agile Resiliency in Supply Chains – A proactive approach to creating value during global supply chain disruptions. The research and publication work were sponsored by the University of Tennessee’s Global Supply Chain Institute and Avicon, Inc. (January 2020).
Dave is also Co-Founder of Healthy Hearts for Life, a non-profit focused on cardiovascular disease patients and their successful adoption of new behavioral modification and long-term adherence to critical lifestyle changes. He and his wife Karen also lead in the Marriage Ministry for couples in the New England area. They live in New Hampshire.
